Self Hypnosis Techniques
Look into my eyes.. you’re feeling sleepy.. you’ll give me your wallet.. LOL, just kidding.
I’m not that kind of hypnotist.. in fact I am no hypnotists at all. What I am is someone who has been doing extensive research about hypnosis or self hypnotism for myself. I now have a collection of self hypnosis techniques and I want to show you the best way to improve yourself through self hypnotism.
Anyway, my name is Steve and I started looking for more information about self hypnosis when I was in my early 20s. You see, I read somewhere that hypnosis is a powerful way of enhancing yourself. It is like a mind tool, a relation technique that will make you feel better.
In my case, I wanted to get rid of my shyness. I wanted to be more confident about myself. You see, I have this girl that I wanted to ask out on a date (yes, I was still single then) but every time I go near her, I was trembling all over. I was sick of that feeling!.
Then the day came when I told to myself that I will change for the better and that’s when I went online and download my first hypnosis mp3. It was ok, helpful, but it did not completely change me. But that started my months and months of research to find those self hypnosis techniques. Click here and discover what I found out that completely change me which made me the man I am today!
I found out that not only will self hypnotism help you build confidence for public speaking or talking to girls (which is my main problem then), it can also help you to manage your stress, quit smoking, lose weight and others.
If your goal for hypnotism are those, I recommend you check out THE SECRET OF HYPNOSIS. As for me, I wanted to be ‘Don Juan DeMarco’, the ladies’ man. (Which as you can see, I met and married the woman of my dreams.)
My knowledge about hypnosis widen and not just to use it as confidence boosters contact but a lot more that just the definition of the word (which is the a heightened state of focused concentration (trance) by the way)
Other Uses of Self Hypnosis
Like I said before, for me I need to build my confidence up to get the girl of my dreams (to whom I am married now) but there are other things that hypnosis can be applied on. It is healing the subliminal self and yes, there are training for it but you can teach yourself hypnosis.
Here are some other uses of self hypnosis techniques:
- Hypnosis relaxation techniques
- Stress management
- Binaural beats
- Weight loss
- Peaceful and sound sleep
- Quit and stop smoking
- Improve sexual performance (yes it can) how?
- Healing erectile
Aside from the list presented above, self hypnosis can also be beneficial during pregnancy. By using or applying this, a mother-to-be can be prepared for child birth and reduce discomfort, anxiety and pain of labor.
Depression is very closely related to anxiety and it is known that hypnotherapy is now widely used in the treatment of such cases including subclinical depression, insomnia and many forms of addictions.
effective for panic disorders and insomnia, particularly when integrated into a package of cognitive therapy (including, for example, sleep hygiene).”
Not only does self hypnotism effective in relieving labor pains but it can also be one of the various relaxation techniques for treating both acute and chronic pains.
hypnosis to be of value in asthma and in irritable bowel syndrome
Some practitioners also claim that relaxation techniques, particularly the use of imagery, can prolong life. There is currently insufficient evidence to support this claim
How Self Hypnosis Techniques Changed My Life
Hey there, it’s Steve again and I just want to share with you a story that one of my reader (now a close friend) who I’ve been exchanging emails for quite some time now. He sent this one to share his story with all you guys. Hope you enjoy and appreciate what he did.
Here’s his email:
Although it may sound like a cliché, the fact remains that if it were not for self hypnosis techniques, I probably would not be alive today.
Let me start from the beginning. As a child, I loved to eat. While my mother taught me to enjoy healthy foods, such as fruits and vegetables, she also satisfied my hunger cravings in between meals by making sure that I always had a hefty stock of my favorite potato chips and Chiz Curls. Although I was not conscious of my looks back then, I admit to having secretly preened whenever someone would pinch my cheeks and say, “What a cute, chubby little boy you are!” or “Isn’t he adorable!”
As I reached my High School and College years, however, I came to realize just how fat I had become from the way my classmates reacted toward me. While there were a few who advised, “Maybe should try to lose some weight. You always seem to be running out of breath at the slightest exertion,” many were quick to insult me and call me names like “Fatso!”, “Tubbo!” or “Lard Ass!” This name-calling should have ignited the drive in me to curb my overeating habit. Instead, depression made me turn to food even more. In eating junk food, I found comfort from the loneliness and the ridicule.
This all changed when I suffered a heart attack at a very young age of 25 years old. I was applying for a job at web designer studio when my chest started pounding and I felt that my heart was being squeezed. My doctor told my parents that, at 247 pounds, I was obese and I needed to lose weight fast. Because I wanted the easy way out of this weight problem, I opted to go for bariatric surgery, which involved putting a band around my stomach to control my food intake.
The problem was, even after the surgery, I still couldn’t stop eating. Yes, I was losing weight. However, I still could not stop myself from stuffing food in my mouth. I was always hungry; I wanted…no, I must…eat!
Since my eating disorder has a psychological component to it, plus the fact that I was in the very real danger of my lap band breaking as a result of my binging, I was referred to a psychiatrist. After reviewing my case and doing a few interviews with me, she suggested that I try self hypnosis to curb the binge eating.
My psychiatrist advised that I do a Google search for self hypnosis instructional pertaining to stopping the habit of overeating. Needless to say, I found a lot of these. I ended up saving a number of free self hypnosis downloads that seemed promising. These downloads consisted of self hypnosis audio and self hypnosis video files. I’ve also downloaded self hypnosis scripts in the form for free hypnosis mp3 files. After I’ve saved up a number of these hypnosis self improvement instructionals, I played them to my psychiatrist, who in turn helped me to choose which files would best help in addressing my problem. Since I had problems relaxing, she also taught me a few meditation techniques. She also gave me video files of self esteem techniques so that I will start to feel good about myself. Needless to say, after just a month of self hypnosis, I was finally able to curb my habit of snacking and overeating. Because my eating was at last under control, I was able to lose 80 pounds in two months.
Don’t let bad habits such as overeating and smoking prevent you from becoming the healthy person you want to be. If these habits are getting you down, pick yourself up again with self hypnosis. Believe me when I tell you that if it wasn’t for the many self hypnosis techniques that I learned, I wouldn’t be the lean, mean sports-loving guy that I am today.
How to Put Yourself In a Self Hypnosis Trance
If you have been wondering how you can enter into a self hypnosis trance, here are a few simple steps that you can easily perform.

First of all, choose a quiet room in which to do your session. Make sure that you wear loose clothes and sit in a comfortable chair.
Next, tack to your wall a picture of a spiral or concentric features just a few feet away from you. As you look at the picture, tell yourself, “I am going deeper and deeper into a trance.” You can also add instructions such as “My eyelids are getting heavier and heavier. My eyes are closing as I go deeper and deeper into a trance.” Repeat these statements or variations of them.
The next step is to lull yourself completely into a trance by counting backward from 10 to 1. At the same time, tell yourself repeatedly that you are relaxed in both mind and body.

Make it a point to say positive affirmations such as “I am completely calm and in control”. Do not say “I am nervous” as this will make it difficult for you to relax.
Then, say that “My body is getting lighter and lighter. I feel like I am floating on air. Waves of relaxing energy are coursing through my body, starting from my toes going up to the top of my head.”
Once you are in a trance state, you start feeding your subconscious with the scripts that you have devised. Add a post hypnotic suggestion that “It will now be easier and faster for me to go into a self hypnosis trance.”
When you are ready to get out of your trance, gradually wake up by counting backwards again from 10 to 1.
